Jocelle E. Whapham, passed away at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center on Wednesday, November 22, at the age of 75. The daughter of Lurid and Orpha Netting, Jocelle is survived by her husband of 43 years Michael, her son and daughter-in-law Matthew and Elizabeth, and grandson Julian.
Mrs. Whapham was a 1970 graduate of the Ohio University with a Bachelor of Social Work degree. She was an avid reader and book lover, which she applied to her career managing several bookstores and working at the Columbus Metropolitan Library and the Capital University Library. Jocelle met her loving husband Mike while working at Franklin Art Glass.
Jocelle had a wide range of interests and passions including the arts, US history and politics and gardening. Her happiest times were spent patrolling and tending to her garden at the Whapham home in Bexley. Most recently she and Mike have spent time caring for their grandson Julian who was Jocelle's ray of joy.
The family will hold a private service at the gravesite. In lieu of flowers, please remember our dear Jocelle with a donation to your local food bank, humane society or nature center in her memory.
