Joe Penix

Monday, March 25, 2024, Winfrey "Joe" Penix of Grove City, loving father to three children passed away at the age of 92, while being comforted by his family. Born March 17, 1932 to the late Walter and Jessie (Hampton) Penix. Preceded in death by both parents, wife Melissa Penix. Survived by children, Bev Leonhard (Gary), Bo Penix (Gayle), Wayne Penix (Cathy), grandchildren Jeff Leonhard (Marla), Kim Miller (Tim), Bryan Penix (Lauren), Brent Penix (Ashley), Wade Penix, Jerry Sowers (Kristi), and Stephanie Sowers (Justin), 8 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was so proud of his family. He retired from Big Bear after 42 years and attended Grove City Nazarene. His devotion to his Savior Jesus Christ, has opened the doors to heaven, as he is now happy and free of pain.

Calling hours will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH on Monday, April 1, 2024 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
