Johanna Maria Hansen

Johanna Maria Hansen, age 98, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on May 11, 2024. Johanna was born in Grafenort, Germany to Alfons and Gertrud Fritsch.

She immigrated to the U.S. with her husband, Wilhelm Hansen in 1954. She retired from Riverside Hospital.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Norbert, brothers, Wolfgang, Leonard, Heribert, Siegbert, sister, Antonia, and grandson, Allan. She is survived by sons Dieter (Bonnie) of Austin, TX, and Rainer, daughter, Karen (John) Weddendorf; grandchildren. Erika, Philip, Erin, Scott, and six great-grandchildren.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff at Harmony Trace Assisted Living for years of loving care.

Funeral arrangements were made by Newcomer in Grove City. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024 at St. Joseph's Cemetery Chapel, 6440 S. High St. Lockbourne, OH 43137 Visitation will start at 10:00am with the service starting at 10:30am.
