Johanna "Hanni" Schweitzer

Johanna "Hanni" Schweitzer, age 92, of Westerville, Ohio passed away on November 9, 2023. She was born in Lorrach, Germany to the late Adam and Eva Flegler. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Anton, her son, Reinhold, and her grandson, Ryan.

She is survived by her daughters, Marianne and Claudia (Brian) Smith, her grandchildren, Kristyn (Justin) Stalter, Kari Schweitzer, Hayley (Brandon) Atwell, Lindsey (Kevin) Lykins, her four great-grandchildren, Nora Scott, Duncan Stalter, Sterling Atwell, Greta Jo Lykins, and her two nephews and their family's in Germany.

She immigrated with her husband and children in 1955 to the United States. She was an avid sewer and crafter. She spent many years volunteering at Source Point Senior Center in Delaware County. She loved to travel, especially on cruises. She loved to walk and stay physically active, into her 90's. She is well known throughout her condo complex as "the walker." She was a proud collector of cardinals. She was very proud of her home and her yard, her granddaughters will fondly remember baking German Christmas cookies with her.

She will be forever missed by her family, and especially her granddaughters.

Family and friends may call on Friday, November 17, 2023 from 3:00pm-5:00pm for visitation hours, with a funeral service to follow starting at 5:00pm.
