John Allen Wright, 53, of Columbus, went to be with the Lord on May 17, 2008, surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 26, 1954, to Wilbur W. Sr. and Betty R. (Lambert) Wright, John was preceded in death by his mother; brother, Wilbur W. Wright Jr; sister, Sharon Wright Moyer. Survivors include his father; wife of 34 years, Peggy (Blakely) Wright; son, Jason A. (Tara) Wright; daughter, Cassie A. (James) Duncan; grandchildren, Hallie and Mason Wright and Gabriel and Zane Duncan; sisters, Carolyn (Jeff) Watts, Diana (Mike) Lawson, Terry (Brian) Ullman, Lan (Katy) Wright; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. John was retired from the US Postal Service and is a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. He loved music, fishing, playing guitar and spending time with his children and grandchildren. The family would like to thank Greater Columbus Regional Dialysis Center for taking such great care of John. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 20, 2008, 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. The Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, May 21, 2008, 11:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 55 Pasadena Avenue, Columbus, OH. Interment will follow at Grove City Cemetery.
