John "Jack" Fierce, 60, of Columbus, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2007, at his residence. He was born April 15, 1946, in Columbus. He is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Marge Stackpole and sister, Jill Johnson. Jack served in the Navy during Vietnam and was a lifetime member of Amvets Post #89. He was also the founder of the Central Ohio Players Pool League. He is survived by his wife, Ginny Fierce; daughter, Christy (Fierce) Beres; grandsons, James Michael and John David Beres; brother, Denny (Ruth) Stackpole. Visitation will be Sunday, January 14, 2007 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM, at Newcomer Funeral Home N.E. Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus. Funeral service will be Monday, January 15, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Messages of condolence may be left a www.newcomerfamily.com
