John C. "Spud" Anthony, 65, passed away on April 23, 2023. He was born on March 19, 1958 in Columbus, OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Sr. and Margaret Anthony, sisters, Barbara Mitchell and Kathleen Dennison and niece, Michele Hutchinson.
Surviving family includes wife, Vicki, daughter, Sara Anthony, son, Sean (Courtney) Anthony, grandsons, Callum, Jensen, brothers, Robert Jr., Frank (Linda), David (Kathy), Fred, and twin Ed (Karen) and beloved dog LuLu.
John graduated from Capital University with a Bachelors in Jazz Performance. He was a lifelong guitarist, composer, and performer.
He retired from the Ohio Department of Taxation as an Infrastructure Specialist.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John's honor to Kobacker House.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-7pm, Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home, NW Chapel, 10051 Brewster Lane, Powell, OH 43065.
