He loved to ski (Colorado was his favorite and he also skied in Europe). He biked, ran a Marathon, could build anything, enjoyed gardening and yard work. He loved his Pittsburgh Steelers, NASCAR (Tony Stewart was his favorite driver) and Charity Newsies, where he was a lifetime member. He was also a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church and volunteered at many festivals. He thoroughly enjoyed learning of his Slovenian heritage at the S.N.P.J. Campsite where he had been a member for many years. Jack believed in "work comes first, then play," so he worked hard and played even harder.
