John E. Carr, Sr.
July 11, 1951 — February 9, 2022
John passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving children on February 9th, 2022.
John retired from the City of Columbus after 45 years of employment.
He was an avid Buckeye Football fan who for 40+ years spent Saturdays down at The Shoe selling programs, and cheering on his Buckeyes.
He is proceeded in death by his loving parents Joseph & May Carr, and companion of 15 years his dog Rex.
He is survived by his children, Johnny (Nicole) Carr, Chris Carr, Brittney Carr, Timmy (Stephanie) Carr, many grandchildren and great grandchildren and his dog Duke.
He is also survived by his siblings Mary (Bob) Walsh, Jackie Belcher, Bill Carr, Linda McCoy, Bob (Diane) Carr and Cathy (John) Proctor, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is loved, and will be missed by many. We will hold him in our hearts, until we can hold him in our arms again.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 20th, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
