John Chaffin, 75, of Grove City, went home to be with the Lord, July 18, 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Grace (Adams) Chaffin and sisters, Annie Van Horn and Nellie Easter. John is survived by his children, Angela Chaffin, Michelle (Richard) Myers, Kyle Chaffin; grandchildren, Savannah, Corey and Nicholas Thimmes, Jesse Myers; sisters, Effie Adams, Bonnie (Ron) Robinson; brothers, Ray, Orville, Arnold (Libby), Bill (Patty), Gene (Maria) and Fred; former spouses, Bonetta Chaffin, Sharon Chaffin and special friend, Calixta Macawile. John was a member of Grove City Church of God and a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War. Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00PM Thursday, July 20, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Friday, July 21, 2006 at the funeral home. Pastor Randy Barr will be officiating with a committal service being held at 12:00PM Friday, July 21, 2006 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Kingston, Ohio. Messages of condolence may be left at www.newcomerfamily.com
