John A. Dalessandri, 89, of Columbus, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2008 at home. John was born on September 13, 1918 in Washington, PA, to the late Cataldo and Pauline Dalessandri. John served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII and was a lifelong member of St. Cecilia Parish. In addition to his parents John was preceded in death by wives, Regina and Ethel; and son, David Dalessandri. John is survived by his loving wife of 9 years, Ida; son, Paul A. (Evelyn) Dalessandri; 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and many other family and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2008 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, July 17, 2008 at 10:30AM at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 434 Norton Road, Columbus, Ohio. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lockbourne, Ohio.
