John E. Walker, 73, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital. John is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Mary Walker; daughters, Darlene (Tom) Moore, and Barbara (Raul Hernandez) Daughtery; sons, John D. Walker, and Brian Walker; grandchildren, Brian, Rian, Kayleigh, Michael, Megan, Meara, Bridgett, and Maritza; sisters, Sue Dunn, Betty McBride, Mary Wood, Karen McVey, and Peggy Nugent; brothers, James, Gary, Roy, and Orville Walker. John served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and will be sadly missed. At John's request the family will be having a cremation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel.
