John David George

John David George, 63, of Columbus, passed away on August 26, 2023 at his home, surrounded by family. He was born in Columbus on February 6, 1960 to the late Joseph and Janet (Sauls) George. He is survived by his life partner, Joann Jarrell.
Along with his parents, John is preceded in death by one son, Johnny Collins; and brother-in-law, Denver Staley. Other survivors include four children, Misty Collins, Michael Jarrell, Candace (David Moore) Jarrell, and Joseph (Clarissa) George; grandchildren, Donovan, Adaisha, Xavier, Sierra, Cameron, Kamden, Dalton, Joseph Jr., Jaxson, Dustin, Jace, Leighanna, and Jesse; one sister, Debbie; daughter-in-law, Mary Jo Deoring; and many other family members and friends.
John served his working career as a cross country semi-truck driver. When he wasn't on the road, he enjoyed gambling, fishing, hunting, playing guitar, music, cars, and loving his family especially his grand babies.
