John Gump, age 71, passed away on May 29, 2022. He was born on July 6, 1950 in Pennsylvania to the late Martha and Loran Gump.
John is an alumni of OSU who enjoyed nature, photography, music including playing guitar. John enjoyed reading and studying World Religion and cultures, and later in life embraced Buddhism and it's teachings. John shared his creativity and philosophy in his writing and Zen poetry.
John is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sue; children, Shannon (Stephen) Harper and Jesse (Stacy) Gump; siblings, Steven (Mary) Gump, Patricia (David) Barker, Richard Gump; grandchildren, Tori, Aubrie, Opie.
Per his wishes, a private family service is being held.
