John Headington, 83, of Orient passed away March 15, 2011. He was born May 10, 1927 in West Mansfield, OH. John was preceded in death by parents, LeGrand Herman and Faye Headington, and son, Gary A. Headington. John is survived by wife, Bonnie; children, Greg (Martha) Headington and Debra (Bobby) Blake; brother, William (Shirley) Headington; daughter-in-law, Sharon Headington; special sister-in-law, Martha (Charles) Campbell; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. John graduated with a degree from The Ohio State University. He served his country bravely in the U.S. Army during WWII. John was an eagle scout and remained active in scouting. He retired from General Motors after 35 years. John enjoyed life to the fullest and loved spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Grove City United Methodist Church, 2684 Columbus Street, Grove City, OH 43123.
