John R. Helfrich, age 76, died Sunday, May 7, 2023 at OSU East Medical Center.
He was born on July 4, 1946 in Pittsburg, PA, the son of John and Florence Helfrich. John was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and grandfather. He served in the US Navy in Vietnam.
He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Helfrich; sons, Paul (Nikki) Helfrich, John (Tammy) Helfrich, Christopher Helfrich; 20 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews; sister Cheri Holcomb (Shelly LT), and step brother, Clarence.
John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Florence Helfrich; step mother, Wanda; sister, Mickey M. Weaver; step siblings, Ronnie, Margaret, Irene, and Elaine.
Arrangements under the direction of the NEWCOMER SOUTHWEST CHAPEL.
