John V. Koser, 96, of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Summits Trace Nursing Home. He was born February 14, 1914, in Lititz, PA, son of the late William and Alma Koehler Koser. John loved to dance, but his true passion was woodworking building furniture, grandfather clocks and a one of a kind handmade boat. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Koser; son, John (Jerrie) Koser; daughter, Phyllis (Robert) Miller; grandchildren, Lisa Spatz, Tim Benner, Shawn Koser and Stephen Koser; great grandchildren Alex Koser and Sieria Steele; sisters, Pauline and Mary. Visitation will be Friday, August 20, 2010 from 4:00-6:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City. Funeral service will be Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Lucasville Cemetery. To leave a special message for the family visit www.NewcomerColumbus.com
