John L. Cokinos Iii

John L. Cokinos III, 65, Columbus, OH, passed away unexpectedly Monday, September 24, 2012.
John was born in Effingham, IL on January 5, 1947, to the late John L. and Charlotte (Woerner) Cokinos. He is survived by his wife, Gayle; daughter, Ashley (Brian) Rhodes; son, Touby Cokinos; grandchildren, Seth and Kiefer Rhodes; mother-in-law, Margaret Schorr; special friend, Ann Hagedorn; cousins and many friends.
John worked for J.D. Cotter Search, Inc, for 38 years where he was an executive recruiter and more recently promoted to Vice President. John was a member of the Westerville Community United Church of Christ.
A Gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2012, 2-5 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH. In addition, a Memorial Service will be held on October 20, 2012, 11:00 AM at the Westerville Community United Church of Christ, 770 County Line Road, Westerville, OH 43081. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to Small Paws® Rescue Inc., 3316 S. 72nd W Avenue, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74107.
