John Paul Leskoske, 71, passed away on December 30, 2023. He was born on March 13, 1952 in Syracuse, NY.
John is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Kathleen Leskoske, his sister, Margaret and his brother, Tommy.
John is survived by his wife, Donna of 47 years, his daughters, Sarah Penney and Ellen (Everett) Townley, and grandchildren, Shenique, Dominic, Anthony and Michael.
He is survived by his siblings, Kathleen (Ed) Kelley, Jimmy (Marge) Leskoske, Mary (Marty) Sherman, Joe (Kathy) Leskoske, Patricia (Jim) Kelley and Michael Leskoske as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
John grew up in Syracuse, New York where he attended Anthony A. Henninger High School. He worked at Nationwide Insurance where he met his boss and future love of his life, Donna. John and Donna were married on October 2, 1976. Together they had two daughters, Sarah and Ellen. John retired from Nationwide after more than 30 years to enjoy time with family, especially his grandchildren, fishing, and singing with his buddy, Jeff and his band mates. He spent all the hours in between taking care of Donna and showering every person he cared about with acts of love.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4-6pm, Friday, January 12, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home, NW Chapel, 10051 Brewster Lane, Powell, OH 43065. Following the visitation, a short ceremony will begin at 6pm.
A Funeral Mass will take place at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 9633 E. State Route 37, Sunbury, OH 43074 at 11am on Saturday, January 13, 2024.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society American Cancer Society.
