John Wesley Longmire, 65, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2006, at home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born to Emerson and Faye (Rogers) Longmire on October 19, 1940, John is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Raymond and Gordon Longmire; sisters, Betty and Sue Longmire. Survivors include his wife Judy of 39 years; daughters, Judy (Keith) Swain and Teri (Dave) Ferris; son, Walter (Sandy) Harper; granddaughters; Kryssie, Shawnda (Adam), Haleigh, Lindsey, Nicole, Amanda; great granddaughter, Taylor; great grandson, Adam Jr.; brothers, Ken, Tom, Lloyd (Ginny), Doug (Beverly); sisters, Shirley (Jim), Bea; brothers in law, Jim (Bessie) Harper, Larry (Sharon) Harper, Bob Harper, Ray (Sharon) Harper; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2006, from 4-8 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City with the service being held on Wednesday, August 30, 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mount Carmel Hospice. Condolences at www.newcomerfamily.com.
