John Martin, 87, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 in Columbus, OH.
John was born on July 20, 1934 in Columbus, Ohio to John and Julia (Roth) Martin.
John is preceded in death by his parents; sons, Richard Martin and Paul Maisenbacher; granddaughter, Amanda and sister, Ruth.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carol Martin; children Peggy (Randy) Davis, Dean (Jenny) Martin, Marjorie Smith, Lori (Scott) Davis and John L Martin; sister, Beverly (Harry) Horger; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and special friend, Dustin Sevy.
John retired from Owens Illinois Glass Company after 37 years of loyal service.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to play poker.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231. A funeral service will follow immediately at 12:00 pm also at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice at Riverside Methodist Hospital in John's honor.
