John K. Maynard, 85, passed away January 2, 2024. He was preceded in death by father, John Kelley Maynard; mother, Clarabelle Maynard; wife, Barbara L. Maynard; siblings, Jack Maynard and Mary Catherine Knapp. John is survived by son, Michael L. Maynard; daughter, Terri (Dan Morris) Perry; grandchildren, Shannon (Ty) Cornell, Chandra (James) Hammack, Michael (Malie) Maynard, Jason "JT" Tyler Perry; sisters, Sharon Belcher and Janet Osborne; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
John served our country in the USAF. He retired from GM and was a proud UAW member. John was a devout member of Highland Baptist Church. He loved his Buckeyes, but above all, his family.
Visitation Tuesday, January 9, 2024 from 6-8pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 1pm at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to Highland Baptist Church, 3460 Hoover Rd., Grove City, OH. 43123.
