John Joseph Napoli

John Joseph Napoli, age 86 of New Albany, Ohio passed away on Sunday, June 30th, 2024. John was born on September 18, 1937, in Oelwien, Iowa to Leo and Mary (Fazio) Napoli.

John was of the utmost intelligence, the first of his family to not only attend college but earn a master’s degree. He continued to have a successful career in sales, teaching, and entrepreneurial endeavors. His love for his Italian heritage led him to opening his beloved, Napoli’s Villa.

In his free time, John enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, following the horses at the racetrack, hitting the slots at the casino, and playing cards. John also had a charitable side supporting the local New Albany Lions Club and attending mass at a variety of churches over the years, most recently attending Espiritu Santo. John treasured his time in his winter home, Safety Harbor, Florida.

Above all else for John came his love and passion for his family. His story began with his late wife, Carolyn, as they built the foundation with their 4 children. As God would have it, Carolyn was taken early in his life and he was blessed with a lifetime soulmate, Deanna. Over 34 years, John and Deanna continued to build on this beautiful life and their love for one another became the backbone of the one-of-a-kind family he has left behind. His legacy will live with us all forever and for that we are the most grateful.

John will be deeply missed by his wife, Deanna, of 34 years; children, Dawn, John Jr. (Melinda), Mary (Matt) and Patti; grandchildren, Brittany, Jennifer, Justin, Dominic, Anthony; great grandchildren, Giovanni, Lillian, Mila; sister, Rose (Robert) Newton; and many nieces and nephews.

John will join many loved ones in heaven including his parents, Leo and Mary; late wife, Carolyn; and grandson, Michael.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 11, 2024, from 4pm to 8pm at Newcomer NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd. Columbus OH. Funeral and burial services will be Friday, July 12, 2024, at 10:30am at St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 S. High St. Lockbourne, OH, in the chapel.
