John "Pete" Kramer

John H. "Pete" Kramer, Sr, 84, of Columbus, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2008. Born to Joseph V. and Elizabeth (Clark) Kramer in Columbus, OH, Pete was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Ellen (Whitesed) Kramer; 17 year companion, Louise McConnell; brothers, Joseph and Robert Kramer; sisters, Elizabeth Zschach and Jane Dyer. Survivors include his daughters, Margaret Miller and Mary Beth (Matthew) Webb; sons, John Jr, William "Ken", Joseph D, and Patrick A Kramer; sister, Martha (Joe) Sauro; brother, Tom (Mary) Kramer; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; and his companions children, Terry and Sheryl Morris and Ed and Angela McConnell. Pete was a veteran of WWII and was a life time member of the AM VETS Post 89 and VFW Post 1388. Pete was retired from Julian Speers as a sheet metal worker of Local 98. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2008, 2-4PM & 6-8PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH, with the funeral service on Thursday, May 8, 2008, 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Millersport, OH.
