John Stanley
January 9, 1931 — May 18, 2012
John H. "Jack" Stanley, 81, beloved husband and loving father and grandfather, passed away at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, May 18, 2012.
Jack was preceded in death by parents, Ned and Ollie Stanley; brothers, Ned Stanley Jr., Clayton Stanley; sister, Margaret Swick and beloved son-in-law, Gerry William Green.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Charlene Houston Stanley; daughters brought to him by God's grace, Dana Wheeler, DeNeen (Jason) Greenwald, Jackie Green, Leslie (Larry) Blackwell; his pride and joy, his grandchildren, Nikki, Hailey, Kendyl, Lance, Nicholas and Logan; brother and best friend, Pete (Dody) Stanley; brother, Dick; sisters, Mary Ilo (Gordon) Rhodes, JoAnn Davis and Lynn Vincent; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jack served his country as a US Navy Hospital Corpman and Korean War Veteran. He retired from Painters Local 1275 and painting for Franklin County Courthouse.
Memorial Mass Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Church, 893 Hamlet St. Columbus, OH 43201. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jack's memory to Catholic Social Services, 197 E. Gay St., Columbus, OH 43215.
