John T. "Jack" Farrell, 90, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2008 at Friendship Village of Columbus. He was born June 22, 1917, son of the late John T. and Minerva (Clephane) Farrell in Sidney, Ohio. John is preceded in death by a brother, Ray Farrell and sister, Esther Griffin. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Gladys (Drum) Farrell; sons, Stephen P. (Tina) and David Farrell; sister, Minnie Simonin; grandchildren, Amber (Michael) Schneider, Stephen, Kelly, Andrew (Shari), Michael and Katie Farrell; 2 great-grandchildren. John served in the Army Air Corp during WWII as a pilot and was a member of Ohio AmVets Post 51. He retired from Bank One in 1982 and was a past president of the Columbus Lumber Club. John and Gladys were avid round and square dancers. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home N.E. Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, with visitation one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mt. Carmel Hospice, 793 West State St. Columbus, OH 43222.
