John W. West, 81, Columbus, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2011. John was born in Smithfield, OH on May 4, 1930, to Allen and Loretta (Harris)West and is preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Mary (Christian) West; daughters, Diane (Keith) Walker; son, Jeffery (Patricia) West; sister, Betty (Robert) Slade; grandchildren; Victor (Lashonda) West, Jason Dunlap, Jerry Dunlap, Michael West; great-grandchildren, Daniel and Cheyenne West; nieces, nephews and many friends. John was a Veteran of the US Army and was an active member of the Centenary United Methodist Church. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, 11:00 AM at the Centenary United Methodist Church, 2048 Deune Avenue, Columbus, OH 43211 with Visitation one hour prior to the Service.
