Johnny L. Rutan

Johnny Lee Rutan, age 46, of Ashville, OH, passed away January 8, 2022. He is survived by his parents, Roger Rutan and Crystal Rutan; children, Madison Lee Rutan and Chase Alexander Rutan, and their mother, Elizabeth; siblings, Tracy, Adam, and Ashley Rutan, and Sherri Tucker; other extended family and friends, including special friends, Jeremy and Sheryl Himes.

Johnny was self employed as the owner of Rutan Hauling and Rutan Performance.

Johnny was a gentle giant. He was newer to the dump truck mafia and earned his respect right away! He took pride in making sure every vehicle he owned stayed presentable and never ever stock. Johnny was an exceptional tuner and mechanic. His favorite part of being a mechanic was asking how that sound went just one more time. It never got old to him asking, just funnier that the person would make the sound over and over. Johnny also loved taking pictures, especially the beauty of sunrises and sunsets. His soft but direct honest demeanor when asked for his opinion will be treasured. The amount of friends Johnny called family is immeasurable. Johnny will hold a special place in all of our hearts and will be terribly missed. May he live in our hearts forever; ride his new open road care free from the troubles of this world.

Visitation Friday, January 21, 2022 from 2pm until the time of Funeral Service at 5pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. Casual Attire is preferred. A Graveside Service will be held at a later date.

Donations may be made to the Funeral Home to assist the family during this difficult time.
