Johnsie Lindsey, 88, of Columbus, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Grant Medical Center.
She was born July 13, 1924 in Chesterfield, S.C., daughter of the late George and Lina Wall Lindsey Sr.
In addition to her parents, Johnsie was preceded in death by her daughter, Willie Mae Lindsey; brothers, George Lindsey Jr. and Crawford Wall; sister, Wilhemenia Bibb.
She is survived by her son, Floyd (Emma J.) Lindsey Sr.; daughter, Judy Lindsey; sisters, Helen Gibson and Effie Lindsey; grandchildren, Barbara Miles, Larry, Glenda, Teresa, Phillip, Floyd Jr., Dennis, Tarwana, Tracey, Brian Lindsey and several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, December 7, 2012 from 5:00-6:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, with the memorial service beginning at 6:00 PM.
Johnsie was a loving mom, granny and auntie to many that will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to have known her.
