Jon Keith Larkin

Jon Keith Larkin, 83, of Gahanna, passed away surrounded by family at home on September 18, 2023. He was born in Columbus to the late Gordon and Ruth (Petty) Larkin. He is survived by his wife Selma Heintz Larkin, they married on June 19, 1987.

Other survivors include three children, Lisa Marie (Mark) Mills, Jonathan Michael (Kristin) Larkin, and Margaret Elizabeth (Joseph) Nadock; stepchildren, Debbie Kelley, Bill Kelley, Kevin Kelley, Sherry (Jim) Willey, and Kajun (Roni) Kelley; Many grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.

Jon was a Brakeman for over 40 years for CSX Railroad. When he wasn't working, Jon's life was entirely driven by his love and passion for his family. He was the definition of a family man. He loved spending time with them at the lake house most of all. After retirement, Jon took up helping his son, Mike, with his construction business. He was a very dedicated and active member with the Gahanna Community Congregational Church. Outside of time with his family, and caring for others through the church, Jon loved to play cards with family and friends.

Pallbearers are Gregory, Jonathan, Michael, Hayden, Travis, Dustin.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7pm, Friday, September 22, 2023 at The Newcomer, Northeast Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43231. A service to honor his life will be held at 10am, Saturday, September 23, 2023 at the Gahanna Community Congregational Church, 470 Havens Corner Rd, Gahanna, OH 43230, burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to financial needs of Gahanna Community Congregational Church at the address above.
