HETZEL

Joseph A. Hetzel, 69, of Delaware County, OH and formerly of Westerville and Cleveland, OH, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2011, at Mt. Carmel West Hospital. Joe is survived by his wife, Mary J. (Boggess, Jones) Hetzel; daughters, Susan (Dennis) Gray, Julie (Dr.Shannon) Miller, Vicki Schulz, Valerie (Terry) Kitchen; sons, Steve (Julie) Jones, Dean (Nancy) Jones; brothers, Jeffrey (Jane) Hetzel, Gregory Hetzel; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Joe taught safe boating classes for 23 years for the Columbus Power Squadron as well as ODNR and Coast Guard Auxiliary and his own company, Shore Side Services. He was a retired material handling specialist. He was an active member and Deacon at Liberty Presbyterian Church, where he enjoyed his many friends in the "Top of the Hill Gang." A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2011, 1:30 PM at Liberty Presbyterian Church on the corner of St Rt 315 and Home Road, Delaware, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 15120 Collections Center Drive, Chicago, IL 60693. Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH is honored to serve the Hetzel family.
