Joseph J Borghese, Sr., 93 years old, of Columbus Ohio, went home to our Lord on November 14th, 2023.
He was born on May 14, 1930 to Peter and Santina Borghese. He served in the Army and the Navy, retired from The Ohio State University, and was a devout member of St. Matthais Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Anna Marie, his son William Borghese, and sisters and brother. He will be greatly missed by his partner of the last 11 years, Marilyn Renouf, his son's Joe (Brenda) Borghese, Chuck (Susan) Borghese, daughter-in-law, Sally Borghese, grandchildren, Nina (Michael) Justus, Dominic Borghese, Reno Borghese, their mother, Carla Borghese, and great-grandchildren, Roman, Jett, and Violet Justus.
Joe was a true light in the world who brought so much joy and laughter to all he met. He loved to travel, would never let you forget he was a movie star, and was a man of faith who devoted much of his time to St. Matthais Parish in many capacities.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Father Michael Donovan for bringing peace and comfort to Joe in his final days.
A private service for the family will be held at a later date. Condolences may be sent to Newcomer.
