Joseph E. Burton, 67, of , Columbus, OH passed away September 29, 2021.
He was born in Delaware, Ohio on March 2, 1954 to the late George and Norma (Mummey) Burton.
He is preceded in death by his uncle, Dwight Mummey; aunts, Vivian Mummey LaFollette, Zelma Mummey Newhart.
Surviving family includes loving wife of 40 years, Debra (Workman) Burton; son, Nathaniel Burton, of Columbus - OH; brother, David (Linda) Burton of Florida; and granddaughter, Eilee A Burton, of Florida.
Joe grew up in Delaware, Ohio on a farm. He went to Olentangy High School.
He was on the football and wrestling team.
Joe's true passion was music.
He could hear a song once and play it.
Joe graduated from West Coast Christian College, where he earned Bachelor of Arts degree in music.
He went on to teach music in school and lead worship in churches.
Joe also had over 100 students, that he gave private piano lessons to.
He was a great man of Faith and we will miss him.
