Joseph Francis Stephens, age 91, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on February 24, 2009. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a retiree of General Motors Corporation. Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Marie Stephens; mother, Agnus Stephens; father, Daniel Stephens; brothers, Daniel "Pudge" Stephens, Richard Stephens, and David Stephens; sisters, Gretchen Good, and Betty McConaughey; and daughter in-law, Betty Stephens. He is survived by son, Stephen (Sandy) Stephens Sr.; daughters, Charlene (Ron) Schoonover, and Kimberly (Mark) Thompson; sister, Dorothy Allen; grandchildren, Stephen (Diana) Stephens Jr., Shaun (Tina) Stephens, Becky (Jeff) Martin, Shad (Beth) Stephens, Kelly (Spence) Fisher, Nicole Bolin, and Rachael Thompson; great grandchildren, Tronny, Jessica, Joey, Mikey, Heather, Lee, Bailey, Alex, Andrew, Ashley, Josh, Joaquin, Tyler, Dillon, Alan, Charlie, and Katie; great great grandchildren, Tatum, Tronny III, and Noah; and ex-wife and special friend, Kathryn Imperial. Friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio, from 6:00PM-8:00PM Friday, February 27th. Funeral service will be held at Sunset Cemetery Chapel, located at 6959 West Broad Street, Galloway, Ohio, at 11:00AM on Saturday, February 28, 2009.
