Joseph S. Lockard, 81, of Gahanna, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2008 at his residence. He was born April 21, 1926, in Circleville, son of the late George and Stella Stevenson Lockard. In addition to his parents, Joseph is preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers. He retired from Rockwell International and was a member of A.A. since 1965. Joseph is survived by his son, Michael (Kathy) Lockard; grandchildren, Ryan Eric, Stacy Lee and Lisa Michelle Lockard; great grandchildren, Jessica, Courtney, and Megan Lockard; former wife, Myrtle Potts, former daughter-in-law, Alicia Lockard and all of his family at A.A. At Joseph's request, no calling hours will be observed. Private inurnment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home N.E. Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus. Messages of condolence may be left at www.NewcomerFamily.com. "To my many family and friends, I leave you this. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow.
