Joseph Mager
Joseph "Bill" Mager, 79, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2006, at Main Street Terrace Lancaster, Ohio. He was born September 28, 1926, in Columbus, son of the late Christopher and Mamie Smith Mager. He is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Doris on April 26, 2002. Joseph served as a paratrooper in the US Army as well as a seaman in the US Navy during WWII. He is survived by three sons, Chris Mager of Baltimore, Matthew Mager of Columbus and Joseph (Cindy) Mager of Snohomish, WA; sister, Mary Pedigo; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 25, 2006, at 10:00 AM, at Forest Rose Cemetery, Lancaster, with the Rev. Bruce Gischel, officiating. Entombment will be in Forest Rose Mausoleum. In leiu of flowers contributions may be made to the Central Ohio Diabetes Association 1100 Dennison Ave. Columbus, Ohio 43201. The family wants to especially thank Main Street Terrace and staff for their kind considerate care of Joe during his illness. Arrangements have been entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home N.E.
