Joseph Donald Papenbrock, 87, passed away December 16, 2010. Joseph was a long time resident of Elyria and recently moved to Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents and fourteen brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Laura (Fridenstine); daughters, Joanne (David) Miller and Jane (Bo) Beauchamp; grandchildren, Stephanie (Tom) Kupec, Jeff (Sherri) Miller, Kate (David) LaPlatney, Jennifer (Joe) Birmele and Angela (William) McCubbin; great-grandchildren, Justin, Darien, Lincoln, Joy, Samuel, Taryn, Ashley, Landon and Paden; and sister, Evelyn Keys. Joseph was a member of the Ohio Operating Engineers since 1949. He enjoyed fishing, stock car racing, gardening, and above all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joseph also served in the Army during WWII. Visitation Sunday, December 19, 2010 from 1-3 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Monday, December 20, 2010 at 3 PM at the funeral home, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will be private.
