MONTGOMERY

Joshua W. Montgomery, 83, of Grove City, passed away October 10, 2007. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years. Natalie Montgomery; parents, Joshua and Ada Montgomery; sisters, Jane Bishop and Betty Deitch and brother, Charles Montgomery. Joshua is survived by his son, Joshua (Cathy) Montgomery; daughter, Connie (Warnie) Jackson; grandchildren, Steven (Michelle) Besse, Christopher Besse, Joshua Montgomery, Sarah Montgomery; great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Logan and Madison and sister, Louise Fasone. Joshua was a veteran of the US Marine Corps serving during World War II. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart and fought in the Battle of Tarawa. Joshua was a member of the American Legion Post 164 and a member of the honor guard (drill team) for over 60 years. He retired after 32 years from Columbus Bolt and Forge and also after 10 years with DeSoto Paint Company. Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00PM Friday, October 12, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Saturday, October 13, 2007 at the funeral home. Pastor Tom Murphy will be officiating with interment at Grove City Cemetery.
