Joy Gallagher, 65, of Columbus passed away Saturday, July 31, 2010 at her residence. She was born July 15, 1945, in Bristol, PA, daughter of the late John S. and Sarah Moore Harmsen Jr. Joy is survived by her husband, Owen Gallagher who loved her dearly; daughters, Kelly (Tim) McCombs, Linda (Shannon) Hays and Kathleen (Scott) Darvin; son, Michael Gallagher; sister, Joan Rau; brother, John (Janet) Harmsen; grandchildren, Conner McCombs, Devin Shane, Daniel Syers, Sean, Matthew and Brandon Gallagher. Arrangements have been entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, 6350 North Andrews Ave. Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33309-2130.
