Virtues of a Noble Woman Proverbs 31;31 KJV
…30Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. 31Give her the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her at the gates.

Our Mother's first priority was us, her four kids: Mary, Brenda Lester and Fonda. She put us before her own needs and wants. When we were all under the age of 10, she would sit with us and play match cards, when she would play music she would twirl us around in a dance. Though our strengths differ from one another she made known to us that each of our strengths were paramount to her and that our individualized strengths were a God valuable commodity given to us to use in our own personal life.

Mom loved singing. Mom from a young girl, on her grandma's porch, to after she was saved, would sing gospel music. Mom was a born-again Christ servant through and through. She ministered the Word of God in the Church and witnessed the Word of God on the outside of the church, to the people she ran into, at the grocery store, doctor's office, restaurants, and hospitals. At all times, in every place, and every situation Mom had the Word of God on her tongue to voice to anyone who would listen. She was involved in fundraisers for the Church, often she would proxy for people who could not participate in the said fundraisers. She cooked many a times for social events at the church and served people that attended. She volunteered to drive people, who could not drive, to places that they needed to be. She stayed with those who were sick day and night, by their side, until they were well enough to be on their own. Mom was all about Church and doing what she was able to do for people.

She enjoyed getting together with her friends and going out to eat, and a little shopping afterwards. Grace New, her best friend, her would always schedule outings to be with each other on a regular basis. They would also include Pat Duty, another friend of theirs, to join them often.

Mom would play bingo blitz on the computer. She liked classic Tv shows and movies. The only music she would listen to from the time she was saved is old church hymnals, or southern gospel music. She did not care for contemporary Christian music. Her food choice was always vegetables, especially anything green. At home she would almost always have green beans on her dinner plate. She was a great cook. Her prized food was her Potato Salad. During holidays and church functions she was requested to make Potato Salad. Her Potato Salad I am going to miss, but she did pass that recipe on to my sister Brenda, who also does a superb job with fixing Potato Salad. I am going to miss the small and the big moments that my mom gave me. I was blessed to live the last twelve years of her life, with her. She would always asked me, when I would leave or she would leave, '" are you going to miss me", or when either of us returned home, "did you miss me" Mom I am going to miss you terribly.
