Ms. Joycelyn Agatha Knowles passed away Monday, September 13th, 2021 at 8:44PM EST (Eastern Standard Time). The Lord said it was her time to come home.
Joycelyn was born on November 19th, 1952. Her name at birth was Joycelyn Agatha Johnson. When Joycelyn re-married, her name changed to Joycelyn Agatha Knowles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Emily Johnson.
Joycelyn grew up in the Caribbean Islands/Country of Jamaica with 11 Siblings:

3. Mr. Frederick (Fred) Johnson
4. Mr. Cleveland (Bully) Johnson
5. Mr. Ferdinand (Joe boy) Sherman
6. Mr. James Johnson - (Died 2013)
7. Ms. Vida Johnson - (Died 2014)
8. Mrs. Estella (Sister Pea) Sherman - (Died 2015)
9. Mr. Rodney Johnson - (Died 2018)
10. Ms. Merle Smith - (Died 2019)
11. Mr. Cornelius (Brap) Johnson - (Died 2021)
Joycelyn is survived by three children (including fraternal twins) from her first marriage, who she spent her entire life trying to give all that they needed to thrive:
1. Sheldon Clarke
- Married to Raushanah Clarke
2. Sandrae Clarke
- Married to Salamawit Clarke
3. Sereta Miller
- Married to Jason Miller
Additionally, Joycelyn is survived by 9 grandchildren who she would constantly dote over and adore:

6. Ethan Clarke
7. Sarah Clarke
8. Jensen Miller
9. Pierce Miller
As a young adult, Joycelyn worked for the Government – Ministry of Agriculture in Jamaica. She often shared stories about her time supporting local initiatives related to Agriculture and being involved with meaningful causes. She really valued her time working in a people-focused capacity.
Much like many immigrants, Joycelyn relocated her family to the United States of America, Columbus, Ohio. This move was primarily to establish a better life for herself and her 3 children. She worked in the Health Care Industry upon moving to the US.
Joycelyn practiced Catholicism her whole life and was a member of Saint Dominic Roman Catholic Church, Columbus Ohio. She raised her children to love God, strive to do their best / reach their potential and to do what's right. Her children were her focal point and she had gone above and beyond to guide and protect them.
We love you mom and will forever be grateful for giving us the opportunity to live a happy and fulfilling life on this Earth. We will miss you mom.
Joycelyn's family would like to thank family and friends for their never-ending love and support.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 10:30am, Friday, October 1, 2021 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 10700 Liberty Road, Powell, OH 43065, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am.
Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 High Street, Lewis Center, OH 43035.
