Juanita Ball, 83, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017 in Columbus, OH. Juanita was born on August 18, 1933 in Freeburn, KY to Jessie and Mary Daugherty.
Juanita is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Henry Spencer; her daughter, Thea Johnson; step-son, Leonard Ball; and several siblings.
She is survived by husband, Harold Ball; son, LaJuan (Michelle LeDoare) Spencer; grandson, Christopher (Aimee) Anderson; step-children, Barbara Ball, Ramonia (Cecil) Smith, Kathleen (Bill) Burkhammer; many step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends.
She belonged to Parsons Avenue Church of God for many years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231 followed by funeral services at 12:00pm. She will be laid to rest at Radnor Cemetery following the service at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parsons Avenue Church of God, 3389 Parsons Ave. Columbus, OH 43207 in Juanita's honor.
