Judith Ann (Einkopf) Kasa, 86, of Delaware, passed away peacefully after a short struggle with a health issue on October 2, 2023, at Arbors of Delaware. She was born January 5, 1937 in Auburn, Indiana to Theodor John Karl Einkopf and Vivian Elizabeth Burnier Einkopf who preceded her in death.
Judith grew up in Mishawaka, Indiana from the age of three years old and graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1955. She married Robert G Kasa of South Bend, IN on April 19, 1958. Robert preceded Judith in death in 2017.
Judith was known for her kieflies that she baked every year at Christmas and for the cookies she baked for family and friends. She and Robert raised their family on a small farm outside of South Bend, IN. On that farm, Judith canned the vegetables produced from two large gardens. During the early years of farm life, steers and chickens were raised on the farm. Judith had been known to say that living on a farm was a hard but fun life.
Judith held several jobs over the years. Before starting a family or moving to the farm, she worked for the South Bend Tribune for four years. Later in life, Judith held several jobs outside the home: Mishawaka License Branch, Don Meadow Motors and at the small machine shop that Robert and a partner owned. Judith said that she never really retired like many people do because there was always work to do maintaining the home.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Robert (Melani) Kasa, Diane (John) DeWald, Richard (Heather Young-fiance) Kasa; grandchildren Michael Kasa, Matthew Kasa, Magelle Kasa, Miana Kasa, Miguelle Kasa, Martin Kasa and Natalia Pilkerton.
In addition to her parents and husband, Judith was preceded in death by her brother Jerome Einkopf and sister Nancy (Einkopf) Howard.
The immediate family will hold a private celebration of life and Judith will join her husband at Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Osceola, Indiana.
