Judy L. Chaplin, 64 of Columbus, OH; passed away peacefully at the Kobacker House November 22, 2022. Judy was born October 12, 1958, in Columbus, OH to Clarence Jr. and Christine (Feemster) Pittman.
Judy dedicated herself to her creator and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1974 and attended the Worthington Congregation. She was a graduate of North High School in Columbus, OH and was a loyal and beloved employee at Telhio Credit Union for 47 years.
Judy had a great sense of humor, was caring, and strong-willed. Her strength was seen in her battle with ovarian cancer, which she fought for 7 years with class and dignity. Family was especially important to Judy. She enjoyed celebrating life, supporting family and friends, and was devoted to her son and grandson.
Judy will be deeply missed by her; son Justin Chaplin; grandson Jayden Chaplin; brother Gary (Sandy) Pittman; sisters Olivia Ward (Oxnard, CA), Gail Walker, Kathy Pittman; best friend Toni Campbell along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Friday, December 2, 2022, from 12pm until the time of service at 1pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2650 W. Dublin Granville Rd. Columbus, OH 43235.
Private inurnment will be at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America of Chicago, The OSU James Cancer & Solove Research Institute, and/or the Kobacker House. Justin would like to personally thank the staff of the above health care facilities, Telhio, family, and friends for their loving care and support throughout Judy's battle with this illness.
