Maybe once or twice in your lifetime, if you're lucky, you might get to know a person who is a true kind soul and Emma Louise (Stith) Fitzpatrick was one of those gems. Known as Judy to most, but Sis to family, she quietly lived, worked and loved for 95 years. Not one to say much more than a phrase or two, but then her infectious smile and a wink said everything. She had a wee bit of a stubborn streak, but she was her own women. She worked for Nationwide Insurance in some fashion for over 50 years. In her leisure she was a prodigious reader, loved her puzzles, and nary a dog could resist her lap and have a quiet reassuring conversation or nap.
Born at her maternal grandparents home in Kenova, West Virginia along the Ohio River to her parents Emma (Fuller) and Emory Algie Stith on the 4th of July, 1925.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jonathan Dennison Fitzpatrick, her siblings, James Russell, Loretta Mae, Louise, Dovetta Marie, Earnestine, Loraine, Carol Faye, Chester Ray, and Kenneth; infant grandson James Jonathon Boyer. Survived by brothers Raymond Algie and Millard Jackson.
Married at 17 to Jonathan Fitzpatrick they had their only child Patricia, who would give them four grandchildren; Jennifer (Scott) Stuckenberg, Kim Planck, John (Amy) Boyer, and Jerry (Sara) Boyer. Six great-grandchildren; Nik (Lamonteah) Planck, Luke Planck, Kirsten (Josh) McMillen, Nathan, Riley, James Boyer. 2 great-great-grandchildren; Beckham and Paisley.
The family would like to make a special thanks to Amanda and Melissa of OhioHealth Hospice for their support and if you would like to make donation in Judy's name send it to Kobacker House, 800 McConnell Drive, Columbus, OH 43214.
