Judith Lynn Gahn of Columbus, OH, went to be with the Lord in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by loved ones, on June 29th, 2022. She was born March 2nd, 1952. Daughter of parents Robert Sowers and Ardella Sowers. Beloved sister of Debbie Gahn, Mike Sowers, Lisa Reese, and Larry Sowers. She is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Charles Gahn, her loving children, Charlie (Wendy) Gahn, Jacob (Chelsey) Gahn, and Tiffany Gahn.
Judy had many hobbies including shopping, crafting, and most of all cooking. Everyone will agree that she was an amazing cook. She made sure no one ever left her house hungry and was known for her Macaroni Salad. Her family was her sole focus. She was their biggest supporter, critic, and cheerleader. She lived for family gatherings. Whether it was a pool day, soaking up the sun or holiday gatherings, Judy loved nothing more than spending quality time with her family. She was a very proud Grandmother to Tyler, Trevor, Cortney, Kalynn, Ava, Avery, and Grand-pup Kobe. Her Grandchildren were the light of her life. She loved to spoil them rotten, they could get anything they wanted from MawMaw, all they had to do was ask.
Judy had a lot of amazing qualities. She had an amazing sense of humor and an infectious laugh and was always brutally honest. She was aways someone you could call and talk to. It didn't matter if you were calling to gossip or calling to talk about your troubles, she listened for as long as you needed her. She was thoughtful and caring to a fault. If you were in trouble, she was the first to step up and lend a helping hand in anyway she could. She would give you the shirt off her back and made sure you never went without.
Judy will be desperately missed by all those she left behind. Our hearts are broken but we take solace in knowing she is no longer in pain. She was a one-of-a-kind soul and to be loved by her was to be truly blessed.
Visitation will take place Friday July 8th, 2022, from 11am-1pm with funeral services to follow immediately after at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City 43123. Burial will be at Alton Cemetery.
