Judy Lynn Hessler

Judy Lynn Sellers Hessler, age 73, passed away at home in Grove City on June 12 following a brief battle with cancer. Judy is survived by her beloved daughter, Jennifer, of Commercial Point; brother Donald (Ann) Sellers, Milan, TN; brother David (Judy) Sellers, Santa Rosa, CA; sister Jonna Weldon, Dyersburg, TN; former husband Mark Hessler, Columbus; an extended family including the Hessler family: Mary Barley (Gary), Rochester Hills, MI; Paul (Tina), Troy, MI; Bruce, Peachtree Corners, GA; Matt, Fort Wayne, IN; Chris (Julie), Fort Gratiot, MI; nieces, nephews, and cousins in both the Sellers and Hessler families as well as many dear friends.

Born December 7, 1950, to Vester and Thelma (Greer) Sellers in Union City, TN, Judy spent most of her early years in Tennessee before her family moved to Michigan. She graduated from Fordson High School in Dearborn, MI. Over the years Judy worked at a number of jobs and retired from her position in Quality Control in the Walmart Vision Lab, subsequently VSP Vision Care. She enjoyed socializing with friends and family and was known for her humorous quips. She was kind, sweet, and positive, even in her battle with cancer. Judy was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Grove City.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 29, at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City. The family will receive visitors from 4 pm to 6:30 pm, with the service following. Father Joe Yokum, Pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, will officiate at the service.
