June Marie Carlson, 84, of Columbus, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2007 at Edgewood Manor. She was born February 27, 1923, in Crooksville, Oh., daughter of the late George Oakley and Zelda Mae Hoover Wingate. In addition to her parents, June is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Paul E. Carlson; brother, Otis Wingate and stepmother, Lucille Wingate. She is survived by her sons, David and John (Jacki) Carlson; grandchildren, Jessi and Joey Carlson; sister, Ruth Shaffer and brother, Robert (Barb) Hern. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 7, 2007 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home N.E. Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, with the funeral service following visitation. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
