Justino Melendez-Gotay, 63, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at Minerva Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was born August 19, 1944, in Puerto Rico, son of the late Alfonso Melendez and Antonia Gotay . In addition to his parents, Justino is preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Marquez. He is survived by his wife, Elena Hernandez Melendez; daughters, Claritza Velez and Wanda Pringle; sons, Alfonso Melendez, Arturo Melendez, Ralph Velez and Carmelo Noble Sr; brothers and sisters, Luz Mendez, Margarita Melendez, Wilfredo Melendez, Eliezer Marquez and Clutelia Marquez; grandchildren, Natasha Quinones, Justin Velez, Michael Rivera, Baby Noble, Marcus W. Pringle, Priscilla Pringle and Carmelo Noble Jr, Naomi Melendez and Natalie Melendez; great grandchildren, Jonathan Rodriguez, Marcus Pringle Jr., Carmelo Noble Jr., Jesus Noble, Tone Gutierrez, Genesis N. Melendez and Isiah N. Melendez. Visitation will be Thursday, February 7, 2008 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home N.E. Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus. Funeral service will be Friday, February 8, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Blendon Central Cemetery. Messages of condolence may be left at ww.NewcomerFamily.com
