Kaitlyn Emilee Hatem

Kaitlyn Emilee Hatem, age 28, of Hilliard passed away on November 2, 2022. She was born in Vista, California on October 10, 1994 to parents Arthur Hatem and Heather DeCarlo-Menda. Kaitlyn is preceded in death by her grandfather, Dominic DeCarlo and aunt, Laura Geist.

Kaitlyn is survived by her daughter, Ruby Violette Hatem-Noland; parents, Arthur Hatem, Heather (Steve) Menda; sisters, Lucy Cassandra, Adalina Hatem; brother, Zachary Hammond; grandparents, Terry (Gary) Fansler, Martha Vincent, Stephanie (Craig) Slagle, Arthur Hatem, PD Shannon; aunts, Nicole Hatem; uncles, Dominic DeCarlo, Michael (Jennifer) Fansler, Derek (Kristen) Fansler, Jeffrey (Deana) Fansler; and many other family and friends.

Kaitlyn loved her daughter, Ruby, most of all. She was loved by so many people, anyone who met her was drawn to her charm, sense of humor and kind heart. She was giving, loving, artistic, smart, beautiful and her mother's world. Kaitlyn graduated from Hilliard Bradley High School in 2013. She attended Columbus Zoo School during her junior and senior year of high school. Kaitlyn graduated from the College of Charleston in South Carolina in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in communications and marketing. She was a talented make-up artist, loved music, singing, dancing, animals and spending time with her friends and loved ones.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations are being accepted to assist with funeral expenses and to help with Ruby's needs.

Service will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, November 11, 2022 at Newcomer Southwest, 3393 Broadway.
